With reference to the“Universities for Eu projects” call for participants funded by the Erasmus + program and promoted by the SEND Mobility Consortium, the results for the Traineeship grants for students are now available.

STUDENTS BENEFICIARIES have full right to participate in the Erasmus + mobility project “Universities for Eu Projects” with grants, as provided by art. 3 of the selection calls.

The NOT ELIGIBLE BENEFICIARIES may decide to take part in the project without any financial support (ZERO GRANT), to renounce or to wait for a possible ranking scrolling which could assign them a grant at a later time.

To confirm the grant acceptance or make a renounce, it’s necessary to send an e-mail to mobility@sendsicilia.it, by 21st April 2021 , with the relevant acceptance – or renouncement form, which can be downloaded  HERE in the attachments section.

The NOT suitable candidates will not have the possibility to participate in the project, as their application was found to be invalid or incomplete.

DURATION

From 2 to 3 months. It is possible extend the traineeship period, but the grant may not be guaranteed.

BLENDED AND VIRTUL MOBILITY

Beucause of the COVID-19 health emergency, the European Commission agreed on the eligibility of blended and virtual mobility. Anyway , the grant will be guaranteed only for the activites that will take place physically or virtually from the hosting country.

WHAT TO DO BEFORE DEPARTURE?

You need to download the documentation relating to your home University, which is available among the attachments at the bottom of this page.

1. Find your host organization USE YOUR CREDENTIALS TO ACCESS THE RESERVED AREA OF THE PLATFORM by clicking on the following link: https://mobility.sendsicilia.it/index.php/reserved-area/
2. Required documentation:   a. Learning Agreement for Traineeships (LAT) ; b. Grant Agreement (GA) ;  c. Additional documentation (some Universities require the sending of further documentation, included in the relevant folder of your University)

N.B. Please read carefully the instructions, attached to the regulation, to complete the GA and LAT forms.

WHICH ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERS THE “Universities for Eu Projects” MOBILITY GRANT TO ITS BENEFICIARIES?

a. Preparation before departure:

Students may download in the “Library” section of the SEND Mobility Platform:

• information and guidance material on living and working in Europe,
• preparation material on Social Innovation
• guides for skills self-assessment .

b. Linguistic Preparation (OLS)

The Erasmus + National Agency has enabled SEND to manage licenses for online linguistic preparation (Online Linguistic Support, OLS).

About 2 weeks before the start of mobility, the participant will get an e-mail from SEND with the link for the first language assessment test.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING MOBILITY?

a. Possibility of extension

If the participant, in agreement with the host organization, wishes to make further months of mobility and traineeship, he/she can request it.
Any request for extension may be accepted, while the request for extra grant must be first approuved by SEND, which will undertake to allocate all the financial resources still available.

b.Intermediate evaluation test sent by SEND

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MOBILITY?

All participants will be required to provide SPECIFIC and COMPULSORY documentation in order to receive theBALANCE of the assigned grant.

The FORUM is designed with the aim of facilitating the communication and sharing of information within this community, in order to better manage and organize your own mobility experience. It will also be a useful tool to get in touch with other Italian students, participating in the same project, who will carry out the internship in the same city or in the same hosting organizations.

For this purpose, the FORUM foresees three main topics:

• F.A.Q .: general issues relating to mobility
• Documents: issues relating to documents (eg Learning Agreement, Grant Agreement, visa, insurance etc …)
• Hosting Organizations: questions regarding host entities such as suggestions on how to find an institution, feedback regarding a specific institution, etc.
• Accomodation & Living in the destination country: questions regarding the search for accommodation and the stay in the destination city.

To access this function, you must first log in to the SEND platform with your credentials. At this point under “Reserved Area” the item “Forum” will appear in the drop-down menu. By clicking on it you will be able to access the various sections described above, where it will be possible to send a request by clicking on “Add Topic” at the top right. To stay constantly updated and receive notifications on all or on a specific topic, simply click on “Subscribe for new topics” at the bottom left.

Do you have doubts about your mobility? Are you having difficulty finding accommodation? Do you want more information than the host organization? Or do you simply want to get in touch with other students who will have the same experience? The FORUM can be for you!

It is recommended to use this tool responsibly without creating alarms or hate speech phenomena!

The call intends to allocate n.22 traineeships for the project n. 2018-1-IT02-KA103-047795 and n. 164 traineeships for the project n. 2019-1-IT02-KA103-061717, to students enrolled in one of the Universities participating in SEND Mobility Consortium.

The traineeships assigned should be in the Field of Social Innovation, main topic of the project.

To apply students have to:

• download the official call on SEND website and read it carefully
• fill in the application form available HERE on SEND Mobility Platform
• attach to the application all the documents required (CV, Motivation Letter, Language Certifications etc…)

The call is addressed to the University staff and students of the I, II, III cycle of study or recent graduates, who have the eligible criteria required in the official call.

A list of the selected candidates will be pubblished in DECEMBER 2019.

The Call includes 2 mobility fluxes for students. Each mobility can last min. 2 months max. 3 months.

For the 1^st flux, students should have previously found a hosting organization and departures may start between 7^th January and 29^th February 2020 and they must end by May 30^th 2020.

For the 2^nd flux, students departures may occur between the 17^th March 2020 and the 30^th June 2020, and they must end by September 30^th 2020.

Then the selected students of the 2nd flux have time till the 30th March 2020  to find an hosting organization. They can do it throught the access to the Reserved area of SEND Mobility Platform, where a list of organizations and traineeship offers are provided by the Consortium.

All the European countries participating in the Erasmus+ program are eligible as destination for the mobility.

Following further checks on the eligibility requirements of some candidates, carried out directly by the belonging Universities, it is published HERE the CORRIGE ERRATE of the eligibility ranking for the allocation of Erasmus Plus for Traineeship scholarships, in reference to the call “Universities for Eu projects”.

The new eligible candidates are requested to send the acceptance or waiver form of the traineeships no later than Wednesday 24 July 2019. The candidates, whose result remained unchanged, must not send any additional documentation or communication.

Reffering to the II Edition of the Calls “Universities for EU projects”- May 2019 for HEI staff and university students, Send Mobility Consortium is glad to inform all the candidates that our commission is calculating the final merit ranking which will be ready by mid-July 2019.

The results will be published on SEND website and on the sites of the Universities and partners belonging to the consortium and communicated via e-mail to all suitable candidates.

What is about? “Universities for EU projects” foresees the implementation of n.165 traineeships for University students and n. 14 training periods for HEI staff. The project is carried out by the Mobility Consortium, coordinated by SEND, a job agency and international mobility centre, in partnership with 15 Universities from 9 Italian Regions and 2 organizations, the Foundation garagErasmus and the business incubator ARCA.

What are we looking for? Public and private organizations/enterprises/companies, Higher Education Institutions and Research Institutes, based in one of the 28 UE member states plus Island, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Norway, interested in offering a traineeship experience to students in the field of Social Innovation. What does Social Innovation stand for? Social Innovation is a wide growing sector at European level, which includes different professional profiles such as the project manager, the management engineer, the financial administrator, the responsible in communication, the sociologist, the psychologist, the business consultant, the fund- and people-raiser, the social influencer, the computer scientist, the architect, the graphic and web designer, the expert in international and European law etc…

In other words, it includes all the jobs which trigger positive social and economic changes within the local community

Why join? This is a great opportunity to enrich the skills and the know-how of your organization in the field of Social Innovation with trained resources, specialized in the different fields. Moreover, this is a chance to internationalize your staff, as well as to foster the mobility in Europe and the cooperation between Higher Education and the labour market. The trainees are University students (first, second or third level) or recent graduates or teaching and non-teaching staff of Higher Education Institutes, motivated in spending a training period abroad and in developing their skills and competences.

What are the costs? All costs will be covered by the project. Participants are granted by “UNIVERSITIES FOR EU PROJECTS” funded by the ERASMUS + _Higher Education individual mobility programme. The Grant covers travel, subsistence and insurance costs.  

What are the duties? The SEND Mobility Consortium will deal with all the phases of the mobility. Thanks to its mobility platform the matching between your organization and the most suitable candidate/s will be easier!! 

Moreover the platform provides different services related to the preparation and the training of both hosting organizations and participants, in order to improve the quality mobility system.

The Hosting Organization has just three simple duties: 1)before the mobility it has to agree and sign the Learning Agreement with the trainee and the University, he/she belongs to; 2) once the mobility is started it has to fill in and send the Letter of Arrival, which proofs the beginning of the traineeship, 3) at the end of the mobility it has to fill in and sign the Traineeship Certificate. That’s all : ) !

Hositng organizations will be, then, contacted directly by the students and you will have time to consider their CVs and Motivation letter and do a skype interview.

How to participate? Register on SEND Mobility Platform by filling the e-form for Hosting Organizations with the data of your organization and your traineeship offer/s.
